Sharon is a registered nurse & nurse executive who is affiliated with National Jewish Health in Denver, Colorado. For 120 years, National Jewish Health has been at the forefront of research and medicine, integrating the latest scientific discoveries with coordinated care for lung, heart, and immune diseases. In addition to being a registered nurse & nurse executive, Sharon is a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse and a Board-Certified Adult Health Clinical Nurse Specialist. Sharon is also affiliated with UCHealth University of Colorado Hospital (UCH) in Aurora, Colorado. UCH is a Level I trauma center and the principal teaching hospital for the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Her credentials include her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (1993) received and her Master of Science degree in Nursing (1995) earned at CU College of Nursing. She remains at the forefront of her challenging field via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations, such as the American Board of Neuroscience Nurses, American Nurses Association, the Colorado Nurses Association, National Association of Clinical Nurse Specialists, the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses, and the National Stroke Association.
